First step: Get pre approved or pre qualified by meeting with a lender and having them pull credit and review your income for the last two years. Also be prepared to present a 60 day snapshot of bank statements. Do you have an IRA or 401K at work? Do you have a family member that would give you a gift to be used as a downpayment?
